I do not remember a time in my life that I did not make things. As a kid I spent more time making toys than I did playing with them. As a teenager I spent so much time building effects and accessories for my guitars that I never really learned to play. My first jobs involved building games, stage props, and even took me out of the county building climbing towers. As jobs changed and I needed to use computers more frequently I built my own software. I have remodeled doctors offices, built parade floats, designed security systems, and created robots.
When people started asking me to build furniture, I enjoyed doing that more than my regular job, so I quit and started McLendon Handcrafted. Handcrafted custom furniture and accessories made by hand right here in scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee.
